Join us for our “Basics of Plastics Extrusion” seminar at our manufacturing headquarters in Pawcatuck, Connecticut.

The course fee is $1,249 + 6.35% tax (total $1,328.31) per person. A 10% discount is given if three or more people attend from your company.

If your company plans to send multiple employees, EACH employee must fill out the registration form and acknowledge the agreements within. If you are using the same credit card for each attendee, we will only charge the card once for the total ($1,328.31 x # of people). However, you will still need to enter the credit card information for each employee for verification. 

Davis-Standard, LLC reserves the right to limit enrollment and cancel seminars. We have a max seating capacity of 30 people per seminar. Availability is on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • 15 days or more prior to the date of the seminar, we will offer a full refund.
  • 10-14 days prior to the seminar a 50% refund.
  • No refund will be offered 0-9 days from the seminar and cannot transfer to any upcoming seminars.

Where is the seminar located?

At Davis-Standard’s headquarters: 1 Extrusion Drive, Pawcatuck, CT 06379.

What are the closest airports to location/hotels?

T.F Green Airport (PVD) is the closest, followed by Bradley International Airport (BDL).

Do you provide transportation?

It is your responsibility to shuttle to and from the airport, hotel and Davis-Standard. We suggest using Uber or renting a car from the airport.

Do you offer a discount?

Yes, we offer a 10% discount for those companies that send three or more people.

Do I need to fill out the registration form for each person if we have more than one person attending?

Yes, we charge a fee per person and various materials are personalized to the attendee.

Therefore, a new registration will need to be submitted for each person.

What hotels rooms are close and is there a discount through Davis-Standard?

There are 4 hotels near Mystic Village that Davis-Standard has partnered with to offer you a discounted rate. Please make sure when you call the hotel to book your room that you advise you are visiting with Davis-Standard and would like the Davis-Standard Rate. Below are the hotel websites and rates (per night):

Do you offer any courses other than the Basics of Plastic Extrusion?

Unfortunately, at this time we do not. If anything changes, we will be sure to send an email to all our customers and advertise on our website and social media platforms.

Am I required to wear safety shoes?

ABSOLUTELY YES! However, you are only required to wear them when you go on the plant tour and in the lab so if you want to bring a second pair to change in to, that is okay with us. Just remember you’ll need safety shoes on both days or you will forfeit the tour and lab time.

Can I wear sneakers in place of safety shoes in the lab and plant tour?

Please note NO SNEAKERS ALLOWED unless it is a steel-toe sneaker.

If I have problems with my hotel, who should I contact?

Do I have to put credit card information through the registration website?

Yes please. The only form of payment we accept for the seminar fee is credit card. Please note this information is confidential and will only be shared with our accounting department to charge the seminar fee.

Can my company pay for the seminar using EFT check?

No, we only accept credit card.

On the first day, what time do I need to be at Davis-Standard?

We recommend getting to our location no later than 8:00 am. We begin the seminar at 8:15 am sharp.

What happens if I registered for the event but was declined because there were no seats left?

We are typically on top of updating the website to let you know we are no longer accepting any more registration forms; however, if we were not able to get there in the nick-of-time, please note we will NOT charge your credit card. If you did attempt to register but you were declined, we will send you a link to our seminar waitlist webpage. Submit your information and we will email you when the next seminar registration opens. Please note that a waitlist means you receive first notice of open registration one week before we advertise to the public but does not guarantee a seat.

Do you offer lunch and dinner options that are gluten free or vegetarian?

We are conscious of dietary restrictions and offer options for lunch and dinner to accommodate. If you have food allergies, please let us know in advance so we can advise our caterer and the restaurant.

Once you are registered to attend the event, we will be emailing you with an additional form to fill to have your meal choice and any dietary restrictions.

What happens if I need to cancel? Will I get a refund?

We understand that personal and professional factors may prevent you from attending; however, we have to take into consideration cost associated with last minute cancellations and giving our team and waitlisters ample time to fill your seat if you are unable to attend. We can offer the following:

How often do you offer this course?

We offer this course 2 times a year (Spring and Fall) with the exception of the year we attend NPE trade show in the Spring. This exception year we offer the course only for the Fall.
